The Grandparent Connection was created seeing after seeing a need in the community for support for grandparents. When parents receive a diagnosis for their child, they aren’t given a manual, neither do grandparents. Grandparents must learn to navigate how to communicate with their children and how to connect with their grandchild. They must learn about their grandchild’s disability and find ways to support their child without overstepping.
During this course, grandparent’s will have the opportunity to:

- See disability in a different light
- Find new ways to communicate with their child
- Find ways they can engage and interact with their grandchild
This course is for grandparents who are in their traditional grandparent role looking for ways to communicate better with their child and connect better with their grandchild.
