The Phoenix Symphony’s 2024/25 season opens with a bang and a blast-off as Colombian-American conductor Lina Gonzalez-Granados leads Gustav Holst’s most famous work, The Planets. Stunning visual images projected above the Symphony will enhance the performance. Grammy Award-winning composer Christopher Theofanidis’ Drum Circles features the visually captivating Percussion Collective.

The Phoenix Symphony’s SRP Preludes series returns for the 2024/25 season! Preludes will take place one hour prior to select performances with activities that will be sure to delight the whole family! Prepare to hear live musical performances, discover new artworks, explore the dances and traditions of new cultures, and much, much more!

Join us for an exciting Opening Weekend featuring a pre-concert talk with Guest Presenter José Francisco Salgado, PhD, creator of the Science and Symphony film “Gustav Holst’s The Planets.” The Phoenix Symphony has also partnered with the Earth and Space Expedition Center to feature their proportionate, inflatable planets around the lobby.
