Kourtney is originally from Las Cruces, NM but moved to Tucson, AZ in 2011 to attend graduate school at the University of Arizona. She has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, a Masters in Secondary Education, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. She used my degree in Microbiology to teach middle school and high school science. She taught for 5 years before walking away to spend time with her son she and her husband welcomed in 2015. In 2019, they welcomed a daughter. When her youngest was diagnosed with autism, they began our journey in the ABA world. It was this exposure that Kourtney found her true calling; she is working towards becoming a BCBA. Not long after her daughter’s diagnosis, she found Care 4 the Caregivers organization. She is excited to continue her work with this wonderful organization and help serve many more caregivers.
