DESCRIPTION:SibShops: A Space Just for Siblings (Ages 12–16)\nSibling’s are not alone—and they matter\, too. \nBeing the sibling of a child with a disability comes with unique joys\, challenges\, and responsibilities. Our SibShops program for teens (ages 12–16) in the phoenix area offers a fun\, supportive space where siblings connect with others who get it. \nThis engaging program includes:\n🧠 6 Interactive Workshop Sessions focused on emotional expression\, sibling dynamics\, self-care\, advocacy\, and resilience. Workshops are at 360 E. Coronado Rd. Phoenix\, Az 85004\n🎉 6 Fun Outings designed to build friendships\, reduce stress\, and just let them be kids.  In order to attend the outings you must attend the workshop sessions. Outing registrations  will be sent out the first week of each month. Outing location will vary.\n🍕 Lunch included at every Workshop Session\n💬 Peer support\, real conversations\, and creative activities \nProgram Highlights\n📅 Outing Dates : 2nd Saturday will be the the outings (times will vary) \n\nJune 14\nJuly (TBD)\nAugust 9\nSeptember 13\nOctober  11\nNovember 8\nDecember TBD\n\n📅 Workshop Dates : 4th Saturday of the month will be the workshops (11-2pm) .  \n\nJune 28 – Welcome & Connection Part 1\nJuly 12 – Welcome & Connection Part 2\nAugust  23 – Feeling and Frustrations\nSeptember 27 – Finding Balance\nOctober  25 – Understanding Disability\nNovember 22 – Advocating for yourself and siblings\nDecember 6 – Fun and Friendship\n\nOuting registrations will be sent out at the first of the month to those who have registered for the workshops. We encourage attending the whole series. \nPlease note: This event is not for the individual with a disability.  Activities are subject to change based on availability or unforeseen circumstances. We will always communicate updates as early as possible and do our best to accommodate families. \nWhether they’re looking for support\, connection\, or simply a place to be themselves\, SibShops is a powerful reminder that they’re not alone—and their voice matters.
