Juan Pablo Contreras’ Mariachitlán\, an homage to the Mexican state of Jalisco\, the home of Mariachi music the composer’s birthplace\, receives its TPS premiere. The brilliant\, Grammy Award-winning violinist Augustin Hadelich performs Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto\, with its romantic\, meditative melodies and rhythmic intensity.
