Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona: Survivor Sunday

Survivor Sunday with
Brandon Blake & Sabrina Bonaparte

Brandon Blake is a preschool teacher, a musician, and an artist. He sustained a brain injury in July of 2013 while bicycling home from work. Brandon returned to work full time as a preschool teacher 7 years after his injury, after his doctors said he’d never teach again.

Sabrina Bonaparte is Brandon’s caregiver and the Board President of the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington, where she focuses on fundraising and legal advocacy. She is also a member of the USBIA Policy Committee, and her passion is advocating for survivors of brain injury.

Sabrina and Brandon live in Monroe, WA, 40 miles Northeast of Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. They live with their rescue dogs Fabio and Lorenzo, and their tuxedo cats, Pee Wee and Lois Einhorn
